About Safehouse

Making Hazardous Areas Safe and Productive

Safehouse exists solely to make hazardous areas safe and productive.

Through our customisable habitats and fleet of Ex-certified rental equipment, we control environments to protect your people, safeguard your assets, and keep operations running efficiently – even in the toughest conditions.

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, with a 10,000sqm facility in Darwin and a strong partner network across South East Asia, we support projects throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Our Purpose

We understand the risks that ignition sources pose in potentially explosive atmospheres – and we’ve made it our mission to control them.

Our range of products and services are designed to:

  • Protect people and preserve assets
  • Reduce operational risk and downtime
  • Improve productivity and compliance in hazardous environments

As part of the Elemera Group, we believe business success should also drive positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes.

We employ local people, support community organisations, and foster long-term partnerships with Australia’s First Peoples.

Continuous Improvement

Safehouse is committed to continual improvement – whether through better equipment design, enhanced training, stronger compliance, or faster response times. We never stop finding safer, smarter ways to work.

Our Story

Established in Australia in 2010, Safehouse began with a major 27-month offshore oil and gas project in northwest Australia. Since then, our name has become synonymous with safe and productive work practices across almost every major oil and gas facility in the country – including fixed platforms, FPSOs, FSOs, semi-submersibles, FLNGs, and onshore processing facilities across WA, NT, QLD, VIC, and NZ.

Beyond oil and gas, we support the petrochemical, defence, and emerging hydrogen industries, delivering specialised solutions for each sector.

In August 2021, the Australian team completed a management buyout of the Australian and Asia Pacific business units from Starn Group (UK), securing local ownership and renewed focus on the region.

Safehouse in Asia Pacific

We’ve been active in South East Asia since 2005, maintaining a strong presence through our partners in Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. This network enables Safehouse to deliver localised service with full technical support from our Australian operations.
